• Join the OPTIMA® BATTERIES TEAM by entering the 2012 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational qualifying event in Arlington, TX Friday June 8 through Saturday, June 9.

• The 2012 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational qualifying event in Arlington, TX will be filmed for the Speed Channel!

• This year’s OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational qualifying event “The OPTIMA FACE-OFF” will be held in Arlington, TX and is part of the “Amazing” HOT ROD Power Tour coming to Arlington on Friday June 8 through Saturday, June 9.

• One to several racers who receive the “Spirit of the Event” award will be invited to compete in the fifth annual OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational in conjunction with the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas November 3, 2012.

• They will join previous; Run to the Alamo qualifiers Greg Davidson (2010 Chevrolet Camaro) and Karl Dunn (2007 Ford Mustang), and Run to the Coast qualifier Dale Akuszewski (1964 Sunbeam Tiger).

• Any Sports Sedan, Sports Car, Muscle Car or Classic. Any make, any model, any year can complete in this Speed Channel National Televised prestigious event.

WHAT
For the first time ever HOT ROD Power Tour participants have the chance to earn a spot to the coveted, fifth annual OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational during the final days of the Tour. OPTIMA Batteries will hold one of its qualifying events – the OPTIMA Faceoff at the HOT ROD Power Tour – Friday, June 8 through Saturday, June 9.

WHY
OPTIMA® BATTERIES STREET CAR CASTING CALL: Calling all drivers and their super street cars, OPTIMA wants YOU to be part of its brand-new TV series – OPTIMA’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car. The series will expand on the annual OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car TV Special and feature participants as they compete throughout the year to achieve their final goal of being declared OPTIMA’s Ultimate Street Car. The first episode is scheduled to air in fall 2012 on SPEED.

Space is limited and entries will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

The Faceoff activities are all about being safe and having fun. There’s no pressure or need to feel intimidated if you don't have tons of track experience.

The event will follow a similar format to the OPTIMA Invitational with a combination of segments to include autocross, road course, braking and acceleration, style and design competition and road rally.
