vs. Cadillac XLR-V Convertible Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Coupe Car Wars Livingthedreammagazine.com
In my years of driving, I have driven and owned many cars in my life time. Here’s my take on it American cars as a WHOLE lost their points on styling in the mid to late 70’s then started to regain in the early 2000’s. For overall styling American cars are the best. Foreign cars really made great strides in the mid to late 80’s. Foreign cars are more durable and simplistic. When it comes to comfort I still believe that American cars are more comfortable as a whole. For fuel efficiency foreign as a WHOLE across the board has they beat. When it comes to classic car nostalgia American cars are better. What do you think?

Yes Ford’s Hybrid technology is the best in the industry with a battery life of over 10 years the best technically speaking is Toyota. Fords got some cool stuff cooking in their skunk works right now.KK

This whole green hybrid thing is out of control. Honda CRX of the late 80s got 40 mpg and looked a whole lot better than Toyotas Suppository(Prius its tapered at both ends for easy insertion when your batteries die). The new Jetta TDi is a whole lot better and actually gets better fuel mileage. My old 1995 BMW 325is gets 37mpg on the highway , is loaded with everything but a cup holder ( who needs one when you are in the driving experience) handles like its on rails and out accelerates the hyped up hybrids. It cost more money to produce these hybrids than it does to restore an old car that if it is tuned correctly will get more mpg and will reduce the carbon footprint from producing plastic piles of shrink wrapped new cars, but that is just my opinion.

i wanna know what happened to the metro? i had a 91 and the thing got close to 55 m.p.g. and it was strictly a gas powered vehicle not a HYBRID!! now you hear all about these HYBRIDS that only get 35, WHAT THE HELL!!! i thought these cars were supposed to be fuel efficient. i mean DAMN i can keep the slant six in my old 64 dodge truck tuned up and can get that!!! and lets not even get into the olds EV-1 it was a fully electric car in the late 80s (yes i said fully electric)!!! and if you teamed that car with the new lithium ion technology of today, it would be a VERY viable car now!!! and i dont think its too big of a coincidense that the year they scrapped all of those cars the HUMMER came to be!! i just dont think detroit wants to change! either that or the BIG OIL companys still have a strangle hold on the american public and just too large of a hand in american auto production, mabey both! enough with my rant!! well thats just my 3 cents!!

actually, the performance of the car will still depends on how the usage of it and how the autoparts or parts of the car’s availability.
