Bonus quick PhotoChop restyle for the week
AmC was always against the wall when it came to having money for retooling, and alas the short wheel based AMX of the Sixties was not contiued into the next generation of the Javelins.
This is a body style people either love or hate, I’ve always liked them and thought too bad they didn’t build a 98”to 104”
based two seater platformed version of this body style.
So here it is Hubsters, and it’s buildable. I laid the late model sheet metal over a ‘68 AMX with some cuts in the right spots it fits perfectly on the rear qtrs. and the frot clip should be a bolt on, the 2nd gens shared the same tub, doors, and window glass.
Note that after I did this I extended the wheelbase from the front door jams forward, approximately 5 inches. so the proportions are alittle nicer, although the stock 98” wheelbase looked really good, this looked better.
So any of you have an old AMX tub with bad qtrs on it heres a project for you. Have at it. KK
