'56 T-Bird long wheelbase
I’ve always loved the early T-Birds, but one thing always bothered me is how close the rear of the door jam is to the rear wheel arch. Not only that, but the to lines diverge from each other and it creates a V in the middle of the car.
So added about 3 inches to the wheelbase this moves the two lines far enough away from each other that the V is gone and the flow get a little nicer.
I also gave the car a matching rear wheel arch, a Merc front grille and chopped two inches out of the A pillars.
I'm building this one in 1/25th scale and if I get to have a free weekend I'll finish it.
Enjoy. KK

I like how you extended the hood scoop more towards the front also. I definitely like what you can do to these vehicles. Keep up the good work! I’d like you to take a photo of my Falcon and tub it out and stick some velocity stacks up through my hood. See you around the Hub! Bernie

Thanks for sharing, it looks great! I’ll never look at a stock T-bird the same. You have taught me something new…Coop

What a re-do on a ‘t bird. Love the hood scope and front end. I have never been able to fit in a lot of the cars that have the knee knocker/ wrap glass into the jam. The birds and early vettes have the same issue if someone is taller than 5”2 it is one uncomfortable ride.

With the rear axle moved back you could open the cockpit up and move the seats back, this just might be your solution. KK
