What up HUB heads- Pictures to come within a couple of days…

Another Fantastic Friday night at Bob’s. This time it’s all about the details. Enjoy these pics from a variety of americana… Note the fine pinstriping by Styles on my buddy Erik’s new ‘51 Merc.

These cars and their subtle styling cues are truly art. They represent a time in american car building when style came above all else. In today’s world of aerodynamics and emissions regulations, all cars are beginning to look a little too much alike. Raise you hand if you’ve ever thought a car was a Mercedes and the badge said Hyundai.

I was talking to a guy at Bob’s as we were marveling at the pristine ‘57 Pontiac Super Chief, and he was saying that when he was a kid he and his buddies could name every car on the road. Each had its own style and look. The Super Chiefs were rare and its great to see one on the road in all of its original (and fully operating) glory. My favorite touch on the car is the moving moulding over the doors. Genius and artful.

Congrats to all the people who showed off their rides and we will do it again next friday!!
