is currently my daily driver but was purchased to be a toy hauler and street legal hunting / offroad truck. i really like to build a truck big but the state of MN doesn’t like it so i am limited to do what i’m allowed with this ride. The combination of diesel power and the great MPG has been really nice.
i’ve installed 5,000 lbs rated auxilery air bags in the back to help level the truck when i tow stuff. they work great.
the trailer brake controler was worth every penny when i did a trip to NC to haul my stuff back home to MN.in a 28’ enclosed trailer.
I’ve set a personal best of 28 mpg twice with this truck.
History of this Vehicle
purchased in the spring of 2006 at the shockopee dodge dealership. currently has +70,000 miles on it. not much has been modified yet. it really sucks not having a garage of your own to work in.
Plans for this Vehicle
making traction bars right now. hope to add a topper, tossion posi to the rear axle. upgrade the exhaust and add some gauges to monitor it all. install a boost fooler and a cold air intake. then i hope to upgrade the exhaust manifold and intake manifold. eventually swap in better injectors, auxilerly oil filter and fuel filter setups and a better turbo. maybe some day give it a 6 to 9” lift and add 37” to 40” tires. but that part will be a while. a rear camera system would be nice for backing up the boat (its not wide and is hard to see back there) or for seeing little trailers.
