PDDT 09 Day Three
posted in: dayton wire wheel garage, news on October 28, 2009 at 08:29 PM
After careful planning last night the Dynamat owner Scott Wittaker made the decision to have his shop load up and bring out his “32” Ford “Dynasport” to replace the Packard. The remainder of the group visited several car collections that morning. More problems arose for the group leader Posie as he seems to be burning up alternators. After several repairs the group headed on to springfield Missouri. Todays highlights include a George Barris collection owned by Kurt McCormick and another one belonging to Jack Stirnemann. The Dayton Wire Wheel vehicle which is rolling on a custom one off set of Triple Cross Knock-Offs is performing trouble free so far and at approximately 11:00 PM Scott caught up with the group with his dyna sport open roadster driving in the cold night rain.
“Oh and Scott the speed limit in missouri is 65 MPH not 96 MPH. ha ha”.
Our hats go off to Danny of Danny’s Rod Shop in Goshen Ohio who had to leave the tour at 4 AM and drive back to Cincinnati Ohio to drop off his long time friend “Crowbar” for a family emergency only to turn around and drive back to Tulsa Oklahoma to catch up to the gang. A 1000 miles round trip.
On Day four we will be heading to Tulsa Oklahoma.
