Day six group is anxious to see what the weather is going to be like today. Today’s full drive will consist of about 550 miles and we plan to drive hard and steady. Our good friend from Amarillo Texas Eddie Barela and John and Richard set up the lunch at J and R’s Vintage Auto Museum, that is located in Rio Rancho New Mexico. Where we were welcomed by all the local hot rodder’s and was presented with some of the best food around. The weather goes from rain to snow and we still have 250 miles to go. It has proved to be interesting but the group has fought through snow and rain and we arrived at our destination at Winslow Arizona at about 7 PM. So we settled down for a nice dinner at the La Posada restaurant. Today’s exciting events consisted of driving through the snow and having an eighteen wheeler blow an engine in front of the Dayton wire wheel truck completely covering the truck in black engine oil.
