Everyone told me I was crazy when I first said I wanted to powder coat all the trim pieces on my Impala build a matte grey. After they saw it they ate their words!
This impala got the full treatment. I tore it all the way down to bare metal, did minor rust repair as it was a west coast car its entire life, and two toned Mercedes Brilliant Silver and BMW black. Every trim piece was removed, straightened, and powder coated Steel Grey with a matte clear. The Chassis remained stock, although was painted satin black, and was upgraded to Air Ride front and rear. Baer brakes were installed on all four corners so the car could tuck the large 20” front and 22” rear wheels, powder coated to match of course.
This Impala won a pros pick at the DelMar Goodguys show, and was featured in the Nitto Tire ads for almost a year.
