What do you think? Feedback needed!

posted in: gearhead wiki's garage, news on July 23, 2009 at 12:15 AM

What does everyone think about a “Wikipedia” for all car info (everything from model specs to repair procedures to aftermarket products to famous people in the automotive industry)?

As you probably guessed from the garage name I have already started one but need some suggestions, comments, feedback, thoughts, etc..

What do you think of the concept? What does it need? What could it do without?

How can I make it more attractive for people to write articles?

for information, you can probably copy or link to wikipedia pages that already exist for the different vehicles. i’ve looked at some of the old car articles and they seem to be fairly complete and accurate.

Even if we could have ALLDATA type information without the $30. There are a lot off people that would have unique information that could be added. Maybe even a How-to blog.
