About

For a lot of years I have had this idea of building a cartoon car. I even sketched out a lot of ideas. The
sketch turned out to be a blue print with scaled measurements. A year and a half later a completed
Dream Car.
Stats and Process:
83’ Mustang chasis shortened to 80” wheelbase. Largest wheels and tires I could find for scale.
Steel rectangular tubing was used to create main body.
Steel 1/8” wire was shaped for hood, fenders and dash.
Roof was built like wooden boat style and internal surfboard rack.
Foam was sprayed over skeleton of hood, fenders, dash and shaped.
Fiberglass applied over foam and then the foam was removed.
A lot of hours grinding and shaping of the fiberglass.
Sheet metal over rnain body framing.
The wood work was a challenge, The swimming pool came in handy for soaking and bending dried
pine wood and veneer plywood for inner panels.
Airbag suspension Beach Chair Seats created by owner
302 Mustang Roller engine as well as beach ball airbag.
