Ford Talladega Family Reunion
By Richard Fleener
The Ford Talladega “Family Reunion” will be held in conjunction with the Forge Muscle Car show on October 1 and 2, 2010 in Kingsport Tennessee. The Feature car at the show this year is the 1969 Ford Talladega. Among the special
Talladega cars that will be featured are the first production and last production Talladegas. We detailed the first production Talladega last month, now its time for the last one.
It is extremely rare that both the first and last versions of a limited production run both survive and even rarer to have them both in the same location at onetime. You may have thought that all Talladegas were built exactly the same. That is the common belief and statement made by collectors. However, there are some differences and visitors to the show will get the opportunity to see the small detail differences in the production cars as well as how the prototypes and pilot cars differed from the production cars.
The last production Talladega is currently owned by James Myers of Texas. If you want to read and see more about this historical vehicle from the days of Ford racing simply Click Here.
