TAMPA - Vladimir Frias says the product he sells allows drivers to keep their cars clean without worrying about water restrictions.
“Simple enough, it’s a product you spray, dry and repeat.” Vladimir told FOX 13. “It even does the windows.”
Frias says he didn’t believe it at first, but he can wash a car without water.
“No water. Nope. You don’t have to use no water,” Frias said. “They sent me samples. I used it on my car and I loved it. Fell in love with it. Couldn’t believe it.”
Frias sells Freedom Waterless Car Wash through the internet and car shows. With the Bay Area’s drought and these tough watering restrictions, he believes the product is ideal.
But users do need a special micro-fiber towel.
“The towel lifts up the dirt so it doesn’t push it into the paint,” Frias said.
Each bottle lasts an estimated six to seven washes, and costs $19.99, according to Frias. That breaks down to about $2.50 per wash. Depending on where you get your car wash, it could save you money in addition to saving water.
Frias says certain bugs may need a little extra scrub, but pollen is no problem.
“It will give your paint a shine,” Frias added.
So a few simple sprays, may help customers wipe away some of those water woes.
