About
I met Ken & Paula Robinson, and their Texas Orange 1940 Chevy Pickup Truck at the Little Rock, Arkansas 4th Annual Auto Extravaganza. I stop to talk to them about the truck and their show stage. And they notice I was carrying a portfolio with me and that’s how it all started. The Robinsons asked me to do 4 pencil drawings of their 1940 Chevrolet custom truck. Two of the drawings would be their custom truck from two different angles and two drawings of a stock 1940 Chevy truck, as if it just rolled off the assembly line, from the same two angles of their custom truck. So when they go to car shows, you can see the comparisons and changes from the stock to their custom truck. All the drawings were done in 8×10 medium drawing paper, graphite pencils (medium 6B-4H), and between 11 to 14 hours for each drawing.
