Build Book Garage

Although it’s been years since he’s shot for Motor Trend, once in a while you get lucky. Scott’s in Detroit this week shooting one of Troy’s cars in the studio, and just happened to catch this camouflaged sedan on the road. Now since he was driving, the photo was taken with his iPhone instead of his Nikon, so excuse the quality, but it’s way better than I can do while driving and shooting!

This isn’t our first spy shot; I remember one time we were in Mammoth on vacation, back when we worked at Motor Trend, and just happened to catch the new Lincoln Mark VIII (this was a long time ago!) at a restaurant parking lot. Scott took some shots, then we went in to eat, but after a few minutes, Scott wanted to get more photos, and by the time he got back to the parking lot, the car was gone. We published it in the news section. Always fun to catch ’em undercover!

We’re still trying to figure out what this is. Scott reports it was being followed by another car in cammo and a Ford Fusion hybrid, so we think it’s a Ford, but which one? Post me a note. I’ve got an email out to spy photo extraordinaire Brenda Priddy to see if she can shed some light!
