Our strategy for this race was to stay back, out of trouble and take care of the car as much as possible, so that we were there at the end of the 24 hours. This Corvette is the closest thing to a stock car (GA Prep 1) on the track for the Rolex 24 at Daytona and as such, needs a little more care in an endurance race than most of its engineered race car (GA Prep 2) counterparts. We did a great job of executing the strategy throughout the time when we were on the track. Our pits stops were quick and accurate. The only major problem we had was in the transmission/gear box (even after a change), which eventually took us out of the race. You will get no excuses here. That kind of thing is part of racing.
Thanks goes out to Dynamat and HubGarage for all the support on and off the track.
