More Grand-Am/TeamMBR 101 video (courtesy of Andy Pawlowski): These are the pit crew positions for our standard service pit stop, with driver change. Starting left to right, Johnny is in the first position as tire changer, with Jerry on the lollipop and assisting Johnny with tires going out and back over the wall. Zack is next and is jack man and tire changer with Lennie behind and to his right to assist with tires. In Grand-Am, a pneumatic jack can be installed in the car, so the jack man is responsible for hooking up the air so the jack lifts the car. TNext is the driver changer, in this case Mike Yeakle (in orange) with the driver Mike Baughman going into the car immediately behind him. To Mike Y’s right and with one foot on the wall is Pat, the fueler. On the other side of the fuel tank, but not visible in the video is Ben, the dead-man valve operator and Jim the fire suppression man with the bottle (fire extinguisher). Behind the fuel team and visible just past the driver in blue, is where another tire changer, Steve is positioned. When the car comes in, he will follow the fuel team out. As the video pans to the right, you also pick up the crew chief, Buddy, in the observation area of timing and scoring cart.
