Looking for "Mr Slippery" or "American Girl" memorabilia!

Hubsters – I am looking for anything relating to a Jackson, Michigan based product called “Mr. Slippery”. It was a fuel additive. The logo was a bald headed character. Before “Mr. Slippery” there was a similar product called “American Girl” Gas & Oil. Both products were produced in the early 1900’s. I am interested in anything with these names, caricatures, cans, medals, or memorabilia – or even some leads on where I might find them. I work and have checked at swap meets without success . Any leads???????

i searched google, ebay and a couple of older car related publications and batted zero. could you post a pic of the logo so in case we see an item at a swap meet or something we can let you know?
