Radical 1965 Corvette Road Racer Video Feature V8TV

posted in: v8tv garage, news on December 06, 2010 at 12:12 PM

This awesome 1965 Corvette built by the team at Performance Restorations in Mundelien, IL, was originally going to be a show car, but builder Brent Jarvis has been bitten by the road race bug. The result is a show quality car that sports a complete road race driveline and chassis, complete with a 900 horsepower all-aluminum big block Chevy engine, a clutchless 5-speed manual trans, huge brakes, and more. The cosmic paint scheme is old-school candy apple red over silver flake. Shot at the 2010 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational event.
