About

A Jazz combo was borne out of a need to raise funds for the local high school to attend a national Jazz competition in Branson MO. The humble beginning was a high school jazz concert in a night club format, with sofas, coffe tables, art displays, gormet coffees and desserts, low light, and conversation circles everywhere in the gym. The high school jazz band played their competition numbers, and our little combo filled in between numbers during the coffee drinking and conversation. It was a hoot, and it became a local combo. We call ourselves the Last Minute Jazz Combo (LMJ) because we pull our members from a list of minute men available to play on any particular date that comes to us.
