This nifty little unit was on a cool old truck that was at a car show I attended this morning. It was the first one I ever saw in person that was in working order. Today is a ’two-show’ day. I went to the Statewide Remodeling Car Show this morning and I’m at home taking a break and getting a bite to eat before heading out to the ‘Sachse Under The Stars’ car show tonight. I took tons of pic’s and video this morning and will shoot a ton more this evening, so be on the look out for my videos….I will post them here for everyone when I get them done…...hopefully either very late tonight or sometime tomorrow

Saw one today during the “Meatheads, Hotter Than Hell Liability Run” here in Austin. Met at least 30 cars at Hwy.71 and Riverside Dr. around 11am and cruised down to Smitty’s BBQ in Lochart. It was “smokin” !!! Those old “swamp coolers” are just too weird.

They were sold in stores such as Sears. Remember Sears even had its own car they sold. If I remember some worked by putting ice in them. Then as you drove down the road the air going through it was cooled and redirected into the vehicle
