Hot Rod Magazine, April, 2008 featuring Steve Stanford's story on "The Rebirth Of AMC" !
A COUPLE OF YEARS BACK, my buddy STEVE STANFORD, put together a special story for HOT ROD MAGAZINE. It was Steve’s “April Fool” Concept about the re-birth of AMC. Cool Pacers, Hornets, Ambassadors, Javelins, Gremlins…you name it, Steve did it ! In addition, this was also one of the very first stories by Steve that was heard on the Hall Of Fame Legends WebSite.
WELL, it turned-out to be one of everybody’s absolute favorite stories of all-time…and, since many of you are new to the Site and have never heard it to begin with, and hundreds have asked for me to run it again, as my APRIL SPECIAL HOF LEGENDS gift to you, here it is: the “man” himself STEVE STANFORD and “THE STORY OF THE NEW AMC” !

I have that issue and was really intrigued by the detail that went into that story…..and till I read the magazine from front to back didn’t realize it was an April Fool’s joke….I was a bit excited till the truth was revealed….my first car was a 67’ AMC Rambler

Steve was very sincere in his approach…that’s what made it SO real !
And, yes, some of his designs are uber’ cool…AMC’s can be neat !

I agree…maybe someday someone will. In all truth, the Ambassador DPL (for a larger AMC unit), would make a very cool custom…you’d have the only one at the ‘Cruise !
