For over twenty years we have been working with young guys at our shop to become skilled craftsmen, by working their way into a position as a entry level worker. A few years ago we started an “unofficial” internship program to get them right into the mix of every day restoration work much quicker and help them get a running start at a great career. This program allows me more time to spend with them on a one to one basis with all the things that need to be covered and tough. So far it has been working out well and I enjoy seeing these young talented guys advance into skilled talent, capable of handling major work with confidence and desire. Now that Curtis will be coming on full time during the day we are now looking for the next young person who might have true interest in learning this trade.
By the way we found Curtis here on the Hub Garage just last year and help him change his life in the direction he was looking to go! getting him a job over at Speedway Motors during the day and spending the evening here at my shop working on all kinds of interesting projects! So maybe the next young person who is serious about their career in custom cars and restoration work is out here on the Hub.
A great place for car guys & gals to net work.
