The Chassis for Coupe 1 should be ready for delivery to my shipper in California this week. I met the guys from Morrisons up in Washington at their Fife factory last year and was given a complete factory tour by Craig Morrison which was a real treat, these guys are really cool and helpful as well. Its taken me a while to decide what I really wanted in this Chassis and I finally bit the bullet and placed the order with Kevin Kosir at Morrisons at the end of June 08. Kevin was a great help and the whole order process and some carefull measuring by me made it all so much easier. This one is only the third right hand drive chassis to be built by Morrisons; the first two were apparently built for Eric Clapton who commisioned two Hot rods to be built for him earlier his year. My GT is a unibody set up very similar to the same early seventies Ford Torino of your era, to handle the extra horsepower I wanted in the GT the Max G Chassis was the best alternative . Some of the highlights of the chassis and componentry that comes with it are : Willwood 14” Brakes, Morrisons IFS front suspension, Morrisons 3 link rear,with 9” rear to suit with Strange Engineering Pro-Nod Centre running 3.89 gears with with Microblue coating and Lenco Locker and 35 spline axles. The next step is the shipping and getting here to Australia which will take another 2 months and give me ample time to get everything else prepared for its arrival.
