Lookie! Lookie!
OK everyone… Feed me your opinions.
Here sits the powerplant for my 1965 Sunbeam Tiger.
I’d like to know three things… How much horsepower do you think this has, how fast do you think the car will go from 0-60, and what is your guess for ¼ mile times and trap speed?
First the horsepower stuff
It’s a 1989 mustang 302 bored .030 over with the following goodies:
1. Multi port fuel injection with chip (A9L computer) with Mass Air meter (yep- in the air cleaner)
2. 1000 CFM throttle body
3. 24 lb injectors
4. Mass Flo EFI manifold (similar in flow to a Super Victor 8.2)
5. GT-40 heads with 1.84 intake and 1.54 exhaust valves – 65.5cc chambers
6. 9.5:1 compression
7. Intake runner flow 182.1 cfm 28 inches of water
8. Billet distributor w/bearings
9. Stock 89 mustang cam:
Valve Lift Intake w/1.6 rockers .444
Valve Lift Exhaust w/1.6 rockers .444
Duration Intake (at .050) 204
Duration Exhaust (at .050) 204
Lobe Center 116
12. 1.7 Ford Motorsport (Crane) roller rockers- creates .472 lift
13. Long tube headers – no catalytic converters
14. Fidanza aluminum flywheel
15. Ford Motorsport Windage Tray
16. No accessories or engine fan- only a water pump and an alternator
17. 6250 rev limiter
Now the 0-60 and ¼ mile stuff:
1. 3.08 rear gears with Auburn posi.
2. World Class T5 with these gear ratios:
1st = 3.35
2nd = 1.93
3rd = 1.29
4th = 1.00
5th = 0.68
3. torque arm rear suspension
4. Tires = 225 50R 15
5. Car weighs in at 2450lbs
So… What do you think? Let’s argue!

Can’t give you an educated answer but it looks good & it looks like a ton of fun! Are you going to try it on the road course?

I’ll agree with lucky devil on the horsepower. Problem with 0-60 and 1/4 mile times is going to be launch control. I figure high to mid 12’s in the quarter

Traction will be probably be the biggest struggle- The torque arm and Auburn Posi are my solutions to traction. Hopefully those will work!

Looks like more fun than an insurance policy will allow. Tire shops will love you. Be sure and take pictures, everybody loves a good burn out!

Is it possible to show some pictures of the Multi port fuel injection with chip (A9L computer) that has a air mass meter (yep- in the air cleaner)? Thanks!
