About
History of this Vehicle
Frank Kurtis designed it as a kit car. Earl Muntz put it into production. Built about 200. Probably 125 left. 75 in running order.
Mine is a project. Working on it for a couple of years. Original numbers car. Fastest production car of its time. Made from Ford and Lincoln Cosmopolitan parts. Unique front and rear cowl made from cast aluminum. Bumpers from a bus with huge over riders. Fun car to restore. Part vintage classic and fifties hot rod. Muntz added padded dash and seat belts to bucket seats. Very unique and a great story/history behind the car…
Plans for this Vehicle
Fix it up and take it to local car shows. I’d actually like to create a tribute car to the La Carrera Panamericana road race. Although no Muntzes were in the race Kurtis did have his other cars entered in the
race.
