The CUCV series trucks were built for the military as a ‘low cost’ alternative for general applications. The M1008 is rated 1.25 ton, powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2 diesel, TH400 transmission, NP208 transfer case, 14 bolt with Detroit locker, and Dana 60 front, 4.56:1 gearing.
History of this Vehicle
This truck was obtained by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office through the Government Reutiliazation Program and used to haul a patrol boat around to the various lakes. It was auctioned off in 2007.
