This is my 1959 Bug. This is the previous configuration that served me well. Ran great on Pump gas with 12 psi boost blowing through Weber 40 IDF carbs on a stock 1600 with 1.4 ratio rockers, CB 40X35 heads, with a T4 doghouse cooler. Trans is a combination of components from Berg, Weddle, JayCee, and Sway Away. Yes it has a spool.

History of this Vehicle

I am the thrid owner of this vehicle. I bought it from a middle man that had purchased it from a gentleman that drove it may times from Maryland to Texas.

Plans for this Vehicle

I currently have the car apart again for many upgrades….including a 74×94 engine with 42×38 heads ported by Audirac VW’s of CA. I have a set of old school Crower injector manifolds that I will use in conjuction with custom plenums that house 50lb/hr injectors driven by a Haltech ECU.
Plan is to mount the turbo and intercooler under the car above the trans. I will build a custom cage to allow full use of the back seat.
