a little over 20 years there was a car show at a hotel in the northern suburbs of st. paul…the cars were set up in the parking lot…at one end of the building a tarp was hung from the roof and old movies were shown on it…like a drive in theater…inside in the main ballroom was dancing to a 50’s/60’s band…it was a very good time…some very good memories…now fast forward to yesterday…my oldest daughter had her college orientation…and i was there with her mother…we toured the college…very nice…
learned a lot…then we lucked out and got to go see her dorm off campus…we had been told it was a converted hotel…you should have seen the look on my face as we pulled into the dorm parking lot…lol…same building…20 years later…i could even tell you where i parked my ‘47 ford tudor sedan…lots of memories in that building…and now my daughter will be living there…maybe i should organize a car show?...lol…....denny :)
