Work can be a pain in the neck! Really!!!

Well, I’ve been working on the wagon to get it ready for Billetproof Florida 2010. Got the heater box assembly back in under the dash and the blower motor housing on in the engine compartment. And then Sunday nite, my neck started hurting really bad and I couldn’t sleep. I must have twisted my head too much trying to get everthing installed under the dash. So, I went to the chiropractor today. Feeling a little better but, still in pain! He even took an xray to check my neck. He said it looked like I had had a car accident and got whiplash. The only thing I could think of was I had a bad fall off a ladder 3 years ago when we were putting uup the frame shop building. My brother-in-laws 4 wheeler broke my fall. And just now I remember getting bumped from behind at a stop light, that was about 16 years ago! It felt like my head came off.

Also, I just ordered my new wheels for the wagon. Smoothies!!!

Still going to use the tires I have for now. I just can’t make myself spend money on new tires when I already have practically new tires now. I just can’t decide on leaving the white letters out or black walls out!

Here’s the reason for the new wheels. The old ralley wheels are very rusted, bent and a couple of them loose their air after a few days.

Well shoot Greg I hope you get to feelin better! PAIN SUCKS! Believe me I’m there most all the time! But as for the wheels and tires the smoothies will be cool! My personel feelings are black walls look best! But as they say about opinions! So that’s my 2 cents! Take care of that neck my man!

I was thinking black walls would be better than the white lettered for the Billetproof show (traditional hot rod show).

I just updated the blog. While I was re-typing it, I remembered getting bumped from behind at a stop light 16 years ago. The guys foot came off the brake so he didn’t hit me very hard but, my hands flew up off the steering wheel and my head whipped back. It almost felt like I had a seisure for a moment. Later that day I ordered headrests from JC Whitney for my Ford Ranger!

After looking at the pics of your new wheels, and the tires you now have, I vote for blackwall out. I’ve seen this combo on 62 & 63 chevys and I like it.

Greg,
hope you get to feeling better…booze always helps what ails me…LOL…
I’m a white letter guy…I love that look…but you are correct that the black wall is more fitting to the traditional hot-rod look and I believe would probably fit the ‘look and style’ of the wagon better…especially with the smoothies…...that’s my opinion…but opinions are like a$$holes…everybodies got one and most of them stink….

Someones been watching too may reruns. It’s a great line though and I like the movie also..lol Go with the black walls man unless you have some wide whites. White letters are for 60s and 70s muscle cars…

Well, I don’t drink but, the pain almost drove me to it! lol
I like White letters also but, I don’t think it’ll look right for the old skool look on the wagon.

The Ranch Wagon is too new for the Billetproof shows sooo… its going to get the white lettered tires! and newer wheels!!!

I am felling better today! I can acutally turn my head side to side today!!!

?!
googled it, now I know what you were talking about! lol

Makes me think now that maybe when I was bumped at the light all those years ago, if thats what causes my arm to go numb at night if I lie on it. I go again on Friday.

Going with the black walls for now and maybe get some wide white walls later!

If he had quoted Gone in 60 seconds, or Cars or (insert car movie) I’d have known right away! lol

Going with the black walls and then later I’ll get some wide whites! I might transfer the white lettered to the 65 Ranch wagon after it’s done and buy wide whites for the 63 Impala.
Thanks for your input!

I also ordered “Photoshop 7 All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies”
I’ve got photoshop 7 but, don’t know how to use it. I’m sure that I can, just gotta learn the program and do some custom rendering of my wagons.

Greg, did you consider the wide white wall cheater paint I told you about? You just sand all the bumps and letters off, prime it with the space age flex primer for eurathane bumpers and paint them white – They won’t be perfect and will need touch ups, but it doesn’t get much cheaper than that ! Did you end up finding amber lights?

No, I’m going to do the paint on the amber lights also!
