Stromberg Austin 7
We recently went to England to visit our good friends at Stromberg 97 Carburetors where the owner Clive Prew is developing some cool stuff for hot rods and race cars. However, what really caught our eye was this little 2-seater racer over being built in a corner of the workshop by craftsman Rick Pearmain. Based on an pre-World War II English Austin 7 chassis it is powered by a diminutive 750cc 4-cylinder Reliant engine which makes it eligible for historic racing. The body and substructure is all hand formed by Rick. The rear, boat-tail section will be doped fabric just like some of the old race cars. Can’t wait to see this one finished.
