My dad bought this in 1998 after seeing it at Maple Grove Raceway at Powerfest. Originally came from Delaware County, PA as an actual drag racecar. My dad and I totally rebuilt from top to bottom and got all new parts and custom paint job that my dad helped design and lay graphics for. My dad passed 5 years ago and my mom and I took it over and I am the sole mechanic on this Willys. I solved the overheating problems and all braking issues that we have had since day one. I went from 31% underdriven to 23% underdriven pulley, polychain blower belt, chrome master cyclinder, all new brake lines (that I made myself for the 1st time and were perfect). There was an MSD marine distributor when we bought the car and changed that to MSD pro billet distributor w/ MSD digital 6, master blaster coil, split fire spark plugs and 8mm taylor wires. Also holley carbs & spacer plates from motor vision that are tornado plates. Customed Griffen radiator w/ Evans Coolant and run w/o any restrictor plate w/ pusher and puller fan. It has a 350 small block B&M mega blower. Wilwood Billet 4 piston calibers w/ rear crossed drilled rotors & upfront have halibrand spindle mount (15” x 3 1/2”) for a mustang II front end. In pic. I use a fiberglass front end and saving “real” steel frontend for show. Aluminum bed w/ inside of bed polished w/ wing and simpson parachute. Mickey Ts in rear, 31” x 21 1/2” pro sportsman. 2 1/4” primaries into 3” collector, 3” into 4” flowmaster race muffler w/ 90 degree turn out side of bed. Powerglide transmission, four link w/ panarmbar w/ ford 9” 411 gears. Strange axles w/ spool. Coil over suspension. Dual optima batteries. Steering: Billet Specialties Cheyanne Wheel, race column, flaming river steering linkage into chassis tech polished aluminum mustang II rack.
