I had a ‘63 vehicle for a while in the 80’s. The pop-up roof was hinged on one side so it opened into an A-frame with foldout bunks in the roof-line. If you didn’t secure the roof properly, it tended to open up as you flew down the high way like a bellowing piano accordion. I exaggerate a little: you never few anywhere with that 1300 cc motor labouring at the back. Cheers
