Rock Tamers mud flaps sit behind vehicle to stop road debris.
When I first started water skiing in my twenties I never would of though to use mud flaps. But now after years of experience, I understand that mud flaps play an important roll in keeping a boat look fresh and chip free. In 1994, I had an idea to make a set of mud flaps to stop my boat from getting chipped. I was tired of seeing my trailer covered in mud. This was the birth of the Rock Tamers hitch mount mud flap system. You are probably asking… What are Rock Tamers? They are a set of removable flaps that sit behind your vehicle to stop damage from mud and rocks. This idea is special because these flaps are removable and adjustable.
Why make them removable? I don’t know about you but to me, a big bulky mud flap takes away from the look of your truck. So with the Rock Tamers you can simply remove your ball mount from your receiver hitch and bam… you take the system off and your truck is back to square one. Personally, this system has saved all my toys from damage and increase the resale value of all my investments. Take a look at the rock tamers if you tow anything. I recommend it.
Its a funny store though. The Rock Tamers did not always look so sweet. They started as simple pieces of metal and rubber. With a bit of welding and muscle grease the final product slowly found shape. The mud flaps started as rubber composite and were not as strong as they need to be. Eventually, we found a stiff mud flap that was up to par. Now the system is on every truck from Lake Powell to Lake Havasu.
