Comment Notifications

So , we have a little box for mail , another for buddy requests and one for invite friends on our garage page . Could we have another for comment notifications and/or replies to comments ? perhaps ” THE CREW ” could respond or take a poll to see if this is something worth looking into ? If you agree , post it and let’s see what prevails ! Still nothing ?

That makes alot of sense, beats going back and forth from hub to E- mail and back again. I kinda keep up to date with what’s been happening at the moment by checking the ‘Hub Tracks’, but to go back a few hours takes some time and patience.

Sort of like a “Inbox” and “Outbox” system. I would also like to see something put in place that you need to have a minimum number of buddies like 5-10 before you can do a blog. Many times in the past few weeks my blogs have been shoved to the bottom or on the ” see all” page by someone posting useless spam on a blog. That makes everyone else s blog fall to the bottom or off the main page real quick. Some newby even posted the same vacuum cleaner blog 3-4 times in a row. I think we can help govern and save site space by policing our new buds til they become established in the Hub. Just sayin Mike

it just goes back to the blog i wrote the other day.the hub asked us months ago for input on how to make the site better,and all we got was slow load times and banner ads.

Although I’m not sure about” policing ” newbys , but definitely not allowing the same posting on the same page would be a vast improvement ! Some items need to be kept on the front page ( like this one LOL !!)

Usually I will wait and check the new pictures on the front page before I ask a new member to become a friend or check the “about” page on the profile picture. This gives them plenty of time to get buddies and then be able to blog. If a persons anxious enough bout the garage they will be happy to post pic immediately. I`m just trying to find a wat to help keep spambots and spammers out of here.We can all help do that!

On the red tool bar on this page, click [HUB GARAGES] then when the next page comes up , click on the Blue bar [ACTIVITY TRACKS]. It will keep you updated on everyone who is commenting or leaving notes. Try it, It helps you stay up to the minute on what’s happening on The (Hub).

Glad to help. You can also access it on the HOME PAGE at the lower left of the page. I bounce between the News page and Hub Tracks to my Garage Page and keep up pretty well. I also keep a tool bar visible at the top of my PC screen that shows me anytime I have E-Mail messages and how many.

Jimmy has you covered here – I use the ‘Hub Tracks near the bottom of the home page. You can instantly tell what the “hot topic” is due to the common avatars and blog pics. You see ten comments on the same blog and you will go there to see what all the fuss is about…. ‘cause that’s what you do.
