I just got out the mag ( I have a few copies) and it is from August 1991, so the show was a few months prior to that. Man I miss those shows, there was nothing like them! I loved it even more at night after the fairgrounds closed down and everybody hit the streets! What an era,and what great memories I have of it.

I’m looking at those pics, and I remember each of the cars there. I especially liked the multi colored Baretta of Al Hinds from Canada. I remember the car having Minitelube on the top front windshield for a sponsor.

I remember those car shows that was a great time it never seemed to be the same once they lost the major sponsors.
The new version is nothing like the old days it’s not even at the fairgrounds any more.

I lived 20 miles from the show and got to spend every day and evening looking at cars and meeting people. I’ve got photo albums from each year until I moved to Iowa in 2001. Thanks for posting yours.

I live about five miles from the Canfield Fair Grounds.
They did have nice, AND LARGE, shows over there.
They always tied-in with cruising in Boardman which is straight
down RT 224 from Canfield. It’s never been quite the same since
the Boardman Police got tired of their overtime hours and the city council chased the Hot Rod SuperNationals out of town. It was a lot of fun! There are shows all over this area. Ohio has tons of hot rodders!!!
