Dorthy Malone, sweet as pie!
Waiting right there on your fender, a vintage pin up welcomes you to start your weekend. Could it get any better?
Dorthy may not be familiar to many of you, but a quick google found a film career that started in ‘43 with Frank Sinatra and continued into the 90’s with a bit part in “Basic Instinct” (1992) and included an Oscar in 1956 for her role in “Written on the Wind”. Of interest to Car Nuts is a 1954 version of “The Fast and the Furious” with John Ireland, “The Tarnished Angles” (1958) with Rock Hudson, “Beach Party” (1963) with Frankie and Annette, and guest appearances on “Route 66” TV show. She made a lot of “B” movies, from westerns to horrors, so we all saw her at the Drive-In.

Thanks Ray, she’s very “girl next door”. I was trying to figure out how to add a couple bonus photos, but I think they will replace this one, so I backed out.

I’d venture to say that the stainless on that fender is as “Original” as it gets! Nice wheel trim too.

Thanks Daisie, I’m a fan of yours as well as these nostalgic pin ups. I’ve borrowed your photos of Miller’s ‘30 and the Christmas Tree shot to my folders, both are favorites. And by the way, congrats on the Hostess Girl gig.
