Maybe he got tired of lack of interest the hub has for us.

Most of us have jobs and play on the Hub. I asked Chris a year ago if the hub was his baby, and didn’t get a response. A man of mystery – We may never know.
I had suspected that he was a well known, established face and he was the endorsment they needed to launch the site.

I don’t think it was just a new job. His garage could have remained open and he could have taken a break from it – I’ve done it many times in the past year. I think there is something else going on here. I have two speculative guesses.

I’m a little curious myself. The communications between the HubHeads and us HubTails has been almost nonexistant since the recent changes in operations. I would like for someone to step forward and open those lines of communication back up. ANYONE LISTENING UP THERE ?

Yes, now we’re talking. communication is why we are all left to speculate and draw our own conclusions. The recent changes in operations is the key to this kunundrum – In my humble opinion. Way back in November – the 6th of ‘09 – we Hub heads brought all sorts of suggestions to light. The response was “We can’t show all our cards” I never understood that statement

Hmmm , I never even thought to see if he was disconnected with new members. Good investigating – once again we’re left to our own devices, hey?

Alright here is my first speculated guess (a not too serious light hearted guess): Chris was very confident that nobody would be able to catch up to his impressive view count, maybe he went as far as to make a bet a while ago when it seemed unlikely that anyone could catch him. Well, recently a very popular member did in fact pass him, and since he made the bet he had to bow out.
Pure ‘Read between the lines’ speculation of course… I’ll leave you to digest that before I reveal my next therory.

Maybe we can get Courtney to be the new first Hub buddy!

Well that was my more logical guess. I think that the Hub ownership has changed hands already and maybe Chris wasn’t too happy with the new managment style or ?
I actually got a messege from Chris saying he wasn’t too thrilled with the banners either and he agreed with me that they shouldn’t be displayed on our garages. Maybe all is not well down at Hub HQ - we lost Jae earlier and the same senario – no real explanations as to what’s the deal. All I know is, the banners are here, so we’ll deal with it, but I also noticed that many are having speed issues again with most folks blaming the banners and their annimation.

For awhile there this afternoon. The banners were gone, I see there back now. ????

There are (or were) others behind the scene at the Hub. Some may know who and I won’t name names. Chris was a spokesman for the Hub. It was my belief from what I heard, that Chris is a “Hollywood guy” with an interest in cars. Don’t ask how I am privy to this, although inquiring minds want to know…

No it’s pure MAGIC.

Hello Rat Nest, I’m stepping forward. As of exactly one week ago, I am now one of the people managing the Hub. There is a lot to do here and I’ll try to keep the communications open.

We’re actually trying to figure out why there are some inconsistent speed and performance issues. We were able to improve things the first time this happened by throwing more computer “iron” at it. Not as easy this time. My only real answer right now is that it’s quite complicated and I have an expert looking at it. I will let you know when I figure it out. Thanks.
