This unbelievable 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, ultimate pro-touring machine was hand built and owned by the Roadster Shop, winners of 2009 Street Machine of the Year Award, the 2009 Trend Setter Award, and the GM Design Award. This awesome machine was built as the Roadster Shop’s demo for their 2008/2009-show season. With 2,500 hours of custom fabrication this automobile has flawless fit and finishing work with unbelievable attention to detail. This car has been built to be an autocross and road racing capable machine that has the mannerisms of a daily driver. The Roadster Shop’s Green Machine can do 0-60 MPH in 3.7 seconds, ¼ mile in 11.6 seconds @124 MPH, brake from 60-0 MPH in 121 feet and on the skid pad pulls a wild 0.99G’s. This Chevelle has won many awards, has had multiple magazine features and was built to look and perform in a class with today’s super cars.
Features
This originally rust-free 1970 Chevelle conveys with all original panels and a custom, hand-built hood. The front and rear bumpers are tucked into the body for a more modern look. Hand built metal ground effects. Custom louvered scoops in cowl hood, aluminum hand built dash with race-pak gauge cluster. Firewall is smoothed and custom core support cover fabricated. It has Full Chromoly roll cage with custom door bars that don’t obstruct entering and exiting the car. Upholstery Unlimited one of the best in the business did the interior. Cobra racing seats in front hand built custom rear seats to match the fronts. The seats are covered in leather and alcantara and the headliner is done in suede. Billet machined bezels accent the interior that is also accessorized with a Rockford Fosgate stereo system, Vintage Air unit with heat and A/C, power windows, trunk fully upholstered. The car’s interior has a racecar feel yet as comfortable as a new car. RS Performance complete chassis with C6 Corvette spindles, 14.25” rotors and 6-piston calipers in the front and 13” rotors and 4 – piston calipers in the rear. Splined front and rear sway bars, Penske remote reservoir triple adjustable coil-overs front and rear. Power rack and pinion steering, 3” stainless exhaust w/ x-pipe and Borla Mufflers. 620 HP LS7 dry sump built by Turn Key Engine Supply, 6-speed Tremec T56 viper transmission custom built by Bowler Performance, the car comes with a billet light weight single mass flywheel and zoom clutch along with an sport clutch for daily driving. Custom painted Forgeline wheels 18×10 fronts and 19×12 in the rear with Michelin Pilot Sport tires 295’s in the front and 345’s in the rear. The car is painted in PPG Signal green also know as 2007-2008 Porsche GT3RS green with hand a satin black graphics.
