About
The Perfect Storm was named by Kevin Wilsey, the owner of the truck. As he says, the build had it’s ups and downs, but in the end everything came together like the perfect storm. As most projects do, the truck started out as a driver that Kevin was going to build in his garage. After bringing the chassis to my shop for some upgrades, he followed it up with the body panels, progressing all the way to a full blown show truck. We are proud of the finished product, but most of all the friendships that we’ve made along the way.
History of this Vehicle
This truck was disassembled by the owner, and brought to me piece by piece. He is responsible for many of the design ideas, hours of working along side me at my shop, as well as all of the wood on the truck. After all of the metal work was completed, we handled the bodywork in house. It was then sent to Cammileri’s for paint. Since completion, we debuted the truck at the 2010 Sacramento Autorama and went to the Goodguys Del Mar show where it was picked as one of the finalists for Truck of The Year. As if that weren’t enough, we also got Classic Trucks’ finest five pick. Of course a true custom is never finished, so we continue to better it with a new Inglese induction system.
Plans for this Vehicle
Look for the truck at shows throughout the summer. Cool April Nights will have the truck in their indoor display, as will the Hot August Nights Big Boy Toy Store. We will have the truck at shows in Pleasanton and local shows around the Sacramento area. Classic Trucks is doing a feature on it, hopefully followed up by a couple of other magazines that have approached us. After the show scene is over, Kevin will have the driver he first sought out for, only much more than he ever anticipated.
