Hello Jay!
So happy you enjoyed them. Gotta love the oldies.
40’s and 50’s…Remember the little box cameras and the wide roll of black/white negatives? ...... not too bad for old picts.

Thanks Mike;
I am in the picture you see at my garage. At the front wheel of the Indy style roadster. I was 5 or 6 at the time and old at 60 now.
The roadster was built by Kurtis for indy car owner Jack Hinkel.
Car built in the late 40’s and pict taken about 1955.
My dad was in a couple sprint car picts.

Yes, love the cars and history. One of the drivers we knew is 83 now and still in great health. One of the top pictures #39 Jerry Shumaker in the Black Panther. He is a fantastic guy!

Thanks Bill! Those were the post war builders. They learned as they went and often used whatever parts that were available at the time.
I wish you could have enjoyed the sites, sounds and smell of the old sprints and midgets. What an era! Like so much of the music we have enjoyed through those years. It was a once in a lifetime event.
